Our luxuriant Euonymus spindle tree covered fence has been gorgeous for 18 years and we loved it…. until the fence collapsed under its weight last Winter.
The spindle tree is almost 30 years old, so I decided to make everything possible to keep it alive and rebuild the fence so that it can handle the weight in the future (hopefully).
I had to trim the shrub very severely, and here is what I came up with…
Two days of work, lots of bamboos recycled and no injury 🙂
I wonder how the spindle tree is going to recover…
